Executive Skills Training

Students who are struggling in the classroom due to an unidentified area of weakness in organizational strategies, or processing challenges, may need support through the use of the Executive Skills Training.  This is a one to two sessions 80 min per week, individual or group training (determined by the therapist) where the educational therapist infuses executive skills and working memory tasks as well as critical thinking strategies to foster success in the classroom.  This is a child/parent/therapist partnership program to help the student develop the skills they need for success. Some of the key things we work on is development of study habits, time management, homework and classwork tracking, writing improvement and other study skills, developed with accountability for the student.  This is a support program for students to develop their potential in the classroom.
