Meet Joel Tambussi.

He teaches seventh grade.

Hear why he recommends CCS.

What classes and grade levels do you teach at Coastline Christian Schools?

I teach 7th grade Core, specifically History and English.

What do you love most about Coastline Christian Schools?

I really love the community atmosphere here at CCS, it is a place where kids can feel safe and supported.

What is one word that best describes the school?  Tell why you chose that word.

I would choose the word caring to describe the school. There is a real sense that from the top down people really care for each other and sacrificially give to help when there is need.

Why do you like teaching at Coastline Christian Schools?

I enjoy teaching here because I am wonderfully supported by the administration, the parents are great to interact with, and the students are never boring and keep class interesting.

What sets CCS students apart from students in other schools?

CCS students are very driven to succeed, and very talented. It really is quite humbling to be able to teach students with so much ability and potential. There is also a lot of diversity in the student body beneath the surface, in experiences, talents, and family background.

What do you want your students to gain from having known you?

I would hope they can appreciate why I love history so much, but if not that then that I care for them as individuals made in God's image. I also hope that they understand why I talk so much about how important our relationships with Christ are.

What is a unique experience, talent, or interest that you bring to your classroom to help shape the learning experience of your students?

I was a pastor's kid for much of my life and that gave me unique insight into the world of teaching with a christian worldview, and being able to give a defense of what you believe, which I believe is an immensely important trait to use in life.
