Meet Jenny Wong.

She teaches kindergarten.

Hear why she recommends CCS.

What classes and grade levels do you teach at Coastline Christian Schools?

I teach Kindergarten and absolutely love it!

What do you love most about Coastline Christian Schools?

One thing I love most about Coastline Christian Schools is the feeling of community that is found among the students, parents, teachers, and staff.    I love this sense of community because it brings everyone together and creates an environment where learning is safe, encouraging and exciting.

What is one word that best describes the school?  Tell why you chose that word.

One word that best describes Coastline Christian Schools is transformative.  I chose the word transformative because CCS will transform a student in different ways, such as academically and spiritually.

Why do you like teaching at Coastline Christian Schools?

I like teaching at Coastline Christian Schools because I have the opportunity to not only teach students how to read, spell, write and do math, but I can teach and share with them the love of Jesus Christ.  I also enjoy teaching at Coastline Christian Schools because we are a community of brothers and sisters-in Christ who have a calling to serve God.  It has truly been a blessing to teach among others who have the same purpose.

What sets CCS students apart from students in other schools?

CCS students are set apart from students in other schools in two ways.  First, students who attend CCS have the opportunity to learn about God, how to have a relationship with him and how they can be a good Christ follower through their words and actions toward others.  Secondly, students who attend CCS learn and display the attributes of the fruits of the spirit which are: "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control."

What do you want your students to gain from having known you?

Being a Kindergarten teacher, a student's first teacher, I want to make an impact in their lives. Of course I want them to gain knowledge and respect as well, but most of all, I want all my students to gain the ability to love others and know everyone is special and unique in their own ways.

What is a unique experience, talent, or interest that you bring to your classroom to help shape the learning experience of your students?

I bring my own passion for learning into my classroom to help shape the learning experience of my students.  Teachers are life time learners and I hope my students will always be interested in learning new things as they grow older.   I always strive to learn something new through the different experience I have or the various teacher trainings I attend.   I use that knowledge to make my lessons interesting and engaging for students.  Then they will show their excitement about the subject matter and through the activities or assignments, students will display their individuality and creativity as well.
